The Valencia taxi rate was officially set on July 26, 2022. Taxi tariffs in Spain are officially set by cities or districts. The taxi tariff in Valencia provides a clear structure for calculating fares. Taxi rides are charged differently depending on the time of day. During the day, from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, the base fare is €1.75. This is the amount you pay as soon as you enter the taxi. After the base fare, you are charged €1.18 for each additional kilometer traveled. If the taxi is waiting, for example in traffic or at the request of the passenger, the cost is €21.38 per hour.

At night, from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am, the fare structure changes slightly. The base fare during these hours is €2.30. For every kilometer traveled after the base fare, the cost is €1.28. The waiting time during nighttime hours is charged at €24.56 per hour.

In addition to the day and night rates, there is a premium price if you start your taxi ride from the airport. In this case, a fee of €5.40 is added to the fare, on top of the regular charges for distance, time, and waiting.

To determine the price of a typical taxi ride in Valencia, start with the base fare for the relevant time period. Then add the distance charge for every kilometer beyond the starting amount, as well as any waiting time that may apply. If your journey begins at the airport, include the additional airport fee. The total fare is the sum of these charges, providing clarity and transparency for passengers in Valencia.
