⏱️ Waiting time

If the taxi is stuck in traffic or waits at the passenger’s request, waiting time is charged. This is usually billed per minute or per hour and can noticeably increase the total fare.

In many cities, different rates apply depending on the time of day. Possible examples include:

• weekend or public holiday rates
• special late-evening rates

In this case, a fixed price or different fare can be agreed with the driver or taxi company before the ride starts. The agreement must be clear and made in advance—later changes are not permitted. Without an explicit agreement, the regular tariff still applies and the ride is billed via the taximeter.
