It is binding for all taxis and taxi companies within the compulsory driving area and may not be exceeded or undercut. This is ensured by officially calibrated taximeters installed in the taxis.

How the fare is made up under the Las Vegas taxi rate:

The taxi tariff of Las Vegas determines how much you pay for a taxi ride based on several clear rules. When you start your journey, the meter begins with a base fare of $3.50. This amount is charged as soon as you enter the taxi and your trip begins.

After the base fare, you pay $1.73 for every kilometer you travel. The meter tracks the distance and adds this amount for each kilometer of your journey. If your taxi has to wait in traffic or is stopped for any reason, there is also a waiting time charge. The waiting time is charged at $32.40 per hour. This is calculated based on the time spent waiting and is added to your total fare.

If you start your taxi trip from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, there is an additional fee of $1.80. This is added once at the beginning of your ride from the airport.
