1. The Ebersberg Taxi Rate Explained Simply

Officially Set

The Ebersberg taxi rate was officially set on June 10, 2022. In Germany, cab fares are set officially by cities or districts and published in the official tariff ordinance. Unless otherwise regulated, it is binding for all cabs and cab companies within the compulsory travel area and may not be exceeded or undercut. This is ensured by officially calibrated taximeters installed in the cabs.

How the fare is made up under the Ebersberg taxi rate:

The Ebersberg taxi tariff sets out how fares are calculated for journeys in the area. When you enter a taxi, a base fare of €4.80 is applied at the start of your trip. This base fare is the starting amount that covers the initial boarding of the taxi.

After the base fare, you will be charged €2.10 for each kilometre travelled, regardless of the total distance. This price per kilometre applies throughout the trip, so the total distance you travel directly affects the final fare.

The tariff includes separate time periods for day and night. The daytime tariff is used from Monday to Saturday between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm. The night tariff is used from Monday to Saturday between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am, and all day on Sundays. Both periods have the same base fare and price per kilometre.

If the taxi is stopped or moving very slowly, waiting time costs will be added to the fare. The charge for waiting time is €33.00 per hour, and this is calculated proportionally for shorter waits. The Ebersberg taxi tariff provides a transparent way to understand how your taxi fare is calculated step by step, making it easier for passengers to plan their journey costs.
