For night-time journeys, which includes Monday to Friday from 9:00 pm until 6:00 am, and all day on Saturday and Sunday, the base fare is also $5.85. However, the cost per kilometre increases to $2.75. The waiting time charge remains the same at $60.70 per hour during these periods.

To calculate the total fare, passengers will pay the base fare first, then add the charge for each kilometre travelled, and any waiting time if the taxi is delayed or stopped during the trip. This fare structure helps passengers to know in advance what to expect when travelling by taxi in Canberra, ensuring transparency and consistency in pricing.
