How the fare is made up under the Alicante taxi rate:

The taxi tariff in Alicante sets clear rules for how taxi rides are charged. When you take a taxi on weekdays from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, the day tariff applies. At the beginning of your trip, you pay a base fare of €4.30. This base fare covers the first 1.94 kilometers of your journey. If your trip is longer than this distance, each additional kilometer is charged at €1.21.

During night hours, a different rate is used. The night tariff is valid from Monday to Friday between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am, as well as all day on Saturday and Sunday. For trips during these times, the base fare is €5.60, which covers the first 2.63 kilometers. For any distance beyond this, each additional kilometer costs €1.37.

If the taxi must wait for a passenger, a separate waiting time fee applies. Under the day tariff, waiting time is charged at €22.10 per hour. With the night tariff, waiting time is charged at €25.84 per hour. These charges ensure transparency in how delays and traffic are handled.
